I am a marine conservation ecologist and science communicator whose research and media efforts focus on sharks, rays, and other predatory fish, with special emphasis on high-priority groups like endangered, understudied, or invasive species.
As an interdisciplinary researcher, I aim to equip policymakers, managers, and stakeholders with the best possible scientific guidance for the conservation of vital marine resources and habitats. My media outreach efforts complement my research by striving to inspire the curiosity necessary to motivate shark and ray conservation, a group historically misunderstood and misjudged.
